- What is it all about?
During 7 months starting from December 2012, we will travel around India, Nepal, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia along twenty existing projects focused on sustainable tourism.
In contrast to mass tourism, responsible tourism generates greater economic benefits for local people and enhances the well being of host communities.
By visiting and studying tourist facilities that support local development projects (protection of the environment, education, microfinance, etc.).
- Our objectives:
– Support development projects
– Highlight sustainable tourist facilities
– Raise awareness on alternatives to mass tourism
– Further social links between travellers and local population
After our trip, we will publish a guidebook that presents the different touristic places we went through and gathers our experience and comments. This travel diary can help tourists who want to travel on a more responsible and conscious way.
